The short day that turned into the 12-hour day

Friday was an awfully long day, thanks to Lil Wayne.

I first attended the opening of Suzanne Perron’s beautiful exhibition at the LSU Museum of Art, which is the main point here. The lighting was well done at the museum, so I’m proud of how the photos of the dresses came out. (I also had to do some society-type photography, but nothing too special there.)

On my way to upload the Perron photos, I checked out Facebook and noticed the TMZ article getting posted onto friends’ accounts. Of course, Lil Wayne is a New Orleans native, so this was going to be big news — regardless of his health condition.

At any rate, my hope to leave around 8 p.m. turned into a hope to leave before midnight. Ah well. Here are those Perron photos.
